3 LAD make MLB’s Prospect Team of the Week

Jonathan Mayo of MLB puts out an interesting weekly segment that they call Prospect Team of the Week. This comes from http://www.mlbpipeline.com which is new to me and is simply mapped to http://mlb.mlb.com/mlb/news/prospects/index.jsp. For this week, three Dodger prospects made the weekly team. To qualify for the team you must be on the MLB top 30 …

OK O’Koyea

Cody Bellinger, Willie Calhoun, Rob Segedin, Edwin Rios,  and Alex Verdugo will have to wait their turn because this weeks LAD Farm Factory award goes to O’Koyea Dickson who out muscled every hitter in the system. O’Koyea started hitting with authority last May and has yet to stop. He hit all summer. He he hit …

Mitch White coming out party

The spring has been a buzz with what Mitch White brought to the Dodger banquet of all worldly pitching prospects and yesterday he showed major league hitters what might be in store for them in future. You would think that a 20-year-old phenom would still be the talk of the town, but Julio Urias is …

Mitch White impresses Keith Law

A couple of notes on Mitch White and Julio Urias.  Typically the Dodgers do poorly with second round picks but they may have gotten a gem this time. Keith Law chimed in on what he saw this week: White went with the 65th overall pick in that draft, but if teams redrafted today, he …
