Young Dodger hurlers try to remain relevant for OKC

The big news for the OKC Dodgers is that Emmet Sheehan was demoted to AAA on Monday, and we heard today that both Bobby Miller and Gavin Stone will be joining the OKC rotation this week. That is quite a rotation of what could have been and still may be. From 2023 – 2025 each one of these was the best young pitcher for the Dodgers. Kind of what Wrobleski is doing this year. We never know what happened to Miller, Stone had TJ surgery, and Sheehan has gone Bobby Miller. Can any of them find their way back to being relevant? In the spring of 2024, Bobby Miller was being talked about as a dark horse CYA candidate. That didn’t seem far fetched at the time because in his first start in 2024, Bobby Miller threw this gem against the Cardinals. Miller struck out eleven Cardinals with only one walk. The buzz was real, and then he just cratered and hasn’t been part of the Dodger pitching plans for two years.

For four years in a row now, the Dodgers have had a good to great season from a young pitcher but none of them have been able to replicate that first good season. Can Wrobleski change that narrative in 2027? Can any of these these three make it back into a major league rotation?
