08/04/26 Top 30 Results

Pitcher of the day was Tyler Gough who struck out 11 of his 17 outs while walking only two. Gough is on quite a heater since joining the Loons in July. Gough might end up being another one of those players that Dodger scouting and development can point to as a success story. He was acquired last year for Robinson Ortiz after not pitching in 2025 for the Mariners. The eleven strikeouts were a career high.

Hitter of the Day was Easton Shelton who hit his 33rd home run and drove in his 100th run. The only other Dodger prospect to drive in 100 runs in the California League was Cody Bellinger back in 2015. For context it took MVP Cody Bellinger 478 at-bats to drive in 103 runs. Easton Shelton has driven in 100 runs in only 353 at-bats. Are the Dodgers going to keep Shelton with Ontario all summer?

Ontario Tower Buzzers: Lindsay and West combined to go zero for twelve with five strikeouts. Vargas banged out three hits who no strikeouts. Oswaldo Osario is not on the Top 30 yet, but if he continues to pound the ball like he has been, he may be knocking that door down soon. Tonight, Osario went three for four and blasted his eighth home run. The 21-year-old infielder has now hit eight home runs in only 100 at bats while carrying a robust .945 OPS.

Loons: Quintero and Morales hit home runs and combined to score five runs, drove in four runs, and walked four times. Davalan did not get a hit but still has the highest OPS at .935. Perez walked twice, and Elkins had one hit.

Tulsa Drillers: De Paula hit another home run, giving him 21 for the year and five in his last four games. Talk about finding your in game power. Hainline and Gelof went a combine zero for ten.

OKC Dodgers: Ehrhard / Tibbs / Ward went a combined seven for eleven with three walks. Even though Ward was the DH, the glut of outfielders remain in AAA.
