The 2026 trading deadline has come and passed. The Dodgers made a few deals but only one deal involved any prospects in the top mid-season top 30. All three were in the same deal, #6 Zyhir Hope, #13 River Ryan, #18 Brady Smith. The Dodgers made one deal where they might have received back a top 30 prospect in Jacob Kmatz. With three players leaving, I’ve added Logan Wagner and Jaron Elkins to the back end of the top 30. Wagner just tied Andy Pages for the most home runs in Great Lake Loons history when he hit his 31st on Sunday. For context, it took Wagner 785 plate appearances with the Loons to hit 31 home runs. Andy Pages did it in 538 PA at the age of 20. That is why one is the starting CF for the World Champions, and the other is at the back end of top 30 prospect list. I could have gone with Gelof, the truth is that they both have lots of power but for now I’m picking Wagner. Jaron Elkins rounds out the top 30. Elkins did what he was supposed to do this year. He repeated Low A while cutting his K Rate from 30% to 22% and also increasing his walk rate. Elkins ISO jumped from .151 to .244 and was promoted to High A (Loons) last week. I don’t know his speed percentile but I do know he has stolen 98 bases while being caught only 12 times since 2025. The system is crazy heavy with outfielders and they only traded one this summer.

As TBLA readers can attest I was really really against signing Tucker not because I thought he’d suck but that it just seemed prudent to go with another bridge instead of reeling in the biggest outfield free agent. Tucker may still contribute to a three peat, but for now he simply looks to be in the way. Tibbs is ready, Ehrard is ready for a Alex Call role, De Paula and Sirota look to be ready by early next year. The team would be just a tad more fun to root for if De Paula becomes the LF and Sirota the RF in 2028.
