Johan Mieses walks away with Weekly Farm Factory Award

You know you have been fairly horrific when you have a great week in early May and still have a batting average of .130. Whatever had been ailing the power hitting Mieses was finally put to bed with Mieses hitting four home runs in three days.   Well, actually that is not true. Making contact is what ails Mr. Mieses but at least this week when he made contact he hit the ball hard, something he had failed to do so far year.

Mieses slugged twenty-eight home run last year in California League but until May 7th had only hit one home run in 2017.   Last year Mieses struck out 147 times in 461 at-bats. This year he has struck out 34 times in 77 at-bats. Ugh.
