Pitcher of the Day: Jackson Ferris is starting to shove in August. Ferris got fifteen outs, six hits, only one earned run, two walks, and three k’s. Ferris has made three good to great starts in August intermixed with one horrible start. Not great but when you consider he made five starts in June and didn’t get more than thirteen outs in any of them while giving up twenty runs this is a huge step up.

Hitter of the Day: Going to go with Oswaldo Osorio who slugged his tenth home run to put the Tower Buzzers in the lead in the 7th inning.

OKC Dodgers: Just a note, Kim played CF not Ehrhard. Ehrhard had one hit and two stolen bases. Tibbs had a double and walk, Ward went 1/3, and Noah Miller 1/4. I can understand Alex Thomas getting the call, he has been a starting Major league CF, has good defensive chops and hits LH which might fit in better with the Dodgers even though Pages was a RH CF.

Tulsa Drillers: Tulsa scored six runs but none of the top prospect had anything to with it. De Paula/Hainline/Wagner went 0/9 but they each had two walks a piece. Gelof did hit a pinch hit home run, his 26th of the year. Newell drove in four runs with his 20th home run. Patrick Copen gave up six runs in six innings with zero walks, and six strikeouts. Jacob Kmatz gave up his first run in the Dodger system.

Great Lake Loons: Quintero and Morales hit back to back doubles to the left field corner to start out the 9th inning, tying the game at 5. Perez/Elkins/Martinus/Guerrero couldn’t get Morales in and the Loons eventually lost. Cam Leiter made his first start for the Loons and pitched a gem. Leiter got ten outs, gave up two hits, zero runs, two walks, and struck out seven. Per Prospect Live Leiter got 12 swings and misses and 11 called strikes out of the 61 pitches he threw. That’s good for a 37% CSW. The 12 swinging strikes is his season high.

Ontario Tower Buzzers: Vargas with two more hits, Lindsey/West with one hit each, and Shelton had two singles.
