Pitcher of the Day: Oh my, Jackson Ferris makes an appearance for the first time this year. Easily his best game of the season as Ferris struck out nine of his fifteen outs, giving up only four hits and one walk.

Hitter of the Day: Caleb Johnson hit his first professional home run and he made it a grand slam. Not only a grand slam but a 9th inning grand slam with his team down.

OKC Dodgers: Ryan Ward slugged his 17th home run and also had a single and two walks getting on base four times. Ehrhard walked four times, Tibbs had a single, and Miller had two singles. Bobby Miller followed Jackson Ferris and pitched almost as well as Ferris. Miller got nine outs, two hits, one walk, three strikeouts.

Tulsa Drillers: Normally what Patrick Copen did in this game would get him Pitcher of the Day honors but I went with Ferris. Copen also pitched his best game of the season, getting twenty outs, five hits, one run, one walk, and a whopping ten strikeouts. De Paula launched his 22nd home run. Gelof clubbed his team leading 25th and had a perfect day at the plate with two walks and more importantly, zero K’s. Vetrano hit his 9th home run after clubbing his 8th last night.

Great Lake Loons: A lot of nice pitching performances today with Tyler Gough adding his name to the list. Gough got eighteen out, two hits, two runs, three walks, and six strikeouts. Until Friday Davalan was having a huge week, but he went hitless on Friday, took Saturday off and went hitless again on Sunday. It was a very quiet day for the Loons with Morales hitting one double, Elkins one single, Perez two walks, and Martinus one single. Quintero took the day off. No, he’s not headed to AA. Yet

Ontario Tower Buzzers: The Tower Buzzers were losing 5 – 1 in the top of the 9th but scored 9 runs to win easily 10 – 5. The red hot Lindsey was held hitless but the even hotter Joendry Vargas slashed two doubles. Ko had two hits and a walk. Vargas played SS in this game. Haven’t seen Aiden West for a while.
